Protect My Property Services Ltd, trading as Protect My Property, processes personal data in the course of its business activities.
This document is to provide our customers with information about what we do with this data and to advise them of their rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the European legislation replacing the Data Protection Act 1998 on May 25th 2018.

We will retain enquiry, design, installation, commissioning, service records and other contract documentation relating to the systems and services we provide, which may include personal data, for the duration of any contract plus a further 2 years. This is in line with the requirements of our industry accreditation body.
Financial transaction records are retained until the end of the financial year and then for a further 6 years in line with statutory requirements.
In order to fulfil our contract with you we will, where necessary share essential information about you and your security system with our alarm monitoring centre and (if you have chosen a monitored contract), the police force covering your area.
Protect My Property is not making use of these messages or data other than to follow up on users’ registered issues or inquiries. Your personal data will be processed and transmitted in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
We sometimes also need to work with third parties who provide consulting, support and technical services to deliver and implement solutions. We may share your information with these third parties as necessary to fulfil the services you have requested.
